ABOUT ME

BROKER/REALTOR®

TARA WOLFE SCHAAN

Twists and Turns:

How does a teacher with a pre-med degree end up thriving in a real estate career? Because I care about people and their well-being. I take seriously the responsibility of helping others with one of the largest financial decisions in their life. Homeowners have an average of 44% more wealth, and I want that for my clients. Real Estate investing has become even more important and sturdier than investing in the stock market. My goal is for my clients to love my service so much, they can’t help but refer me to their family and friends.

Creating lasting memories and sharing quality time with my family is one of my greatest joys. I’m a proud mom of four incredible adult children. My oldest, Madison, is married to Tristen, and they’re expecting their second child—yes, I’m a grandma! Woohoo! My second daughter, Hailey, is about to graduate college and is pursuing a career in law enforcement. Tia, my third daughter, is a talented Travel Advisor, and my youngest, Colton, has his sights set on real estate. As a REALTOR® (and their mom), I’ve always encouraged them to "save for a house," and after two years of diligent saving, the youngest three just bought a home together. And they actually get along…most of the time!

Family dinners are a favorite tradition, often followed by laughter-filled game nights. We love spending time outdoors—camping, hiking, paddleboarding, and soaking in nature together. Traveling is another passion, and we’ve especially enjoyed exploring Colombia, South America.

I’m also blessed with wonderful adult stepchildren. Joseph is proudly serving in the Navy, following in his father’s footsteps. My husband, Mike, and I embrace life’s adventures together, and I love being married to my best friend and fellow journeyer. One of our favorite traditions is “coffee time” (though I don’t actually drink coffee!). It’s our sacred morning moment to read the Bible, share insights from a book, and give each other the best part of our day.

My heart is to help women and children recovering from domestic abuse, which has led me to create Hope Harbor Transitional Living in 2023. Our mission is to provide rental assistance and counseling to parents and children leaving domestic abuse situations.

My other interests include trail running, weight training, quality time with friends and loving God.
